On Monday, April 14th, the Department of Asian Studies and the South Asia Institute hosted its first student mixer for South Asian Languages. Students learned more about our language courses for Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Sanskrit. Thank you for joining us!

A few days ago, we hosted our annual Austin Regional Japanese Speech Contest. Students from AISD and UT Austin competed in various categories. The top two winners from each category will be invited to the 2025 Texas State Japanese Language Speech Contest in Houston.
