@SFACOE completed a rigorous process to demonstrate their commitment to transform their teacher prep and to join the ranks of the other provider institutions in the coalition committed to disrupting inequities in PK-12 districts by renewing their own teacher preparation programs.

We are excited to announce the addition of a new Cohort VI institution into the US PREP Coalition - @SFASU!. @SFACOE will now engage in a four-year transformation process to pilot, refine, scale, and sustain the quality objectives across all pathways and programs.

@US_PREP convened leaders from 25+ colleges and universities for the 2023 US PREP Coalition Leadership Retreat. Participants learned from each other as they explored key leadership skills and mindsets necessary to implement US PREP’s transformed model of teacher preparation.

Participants engaged in learning and collaboration on the clinical aspects of yearlong student teaching and the role of the Site Coordinator - both fundamental components of the US PREP transformed model.

This week, @US_PREP convened Site Coordinators and leaders from over 30 colleges and universities for the Clinical Convening. The commitment of participants to ensure that they prepare PK-12 educators to be Day One Ready was inspiring!

Drs. Erika Mein (@UTEP), Cliff Tanabe (@UTEP), and Amber Thompson (@UHouston) share with the @gatesfoundation Teacher Preparation Transformation Centers across the nation how they’ve scaled and sustained high-quality teacher preparation at their own programs.

Last week @ArkansasEd, @ForwARdArkansas, @2Revolutions, and @US_PREP brought together 16 EPPs from across AR to reflect on components of teacher residency and identify necessary shifts in their programming. EPPs in AR are taking important steps in improving teacher preparation!
