Had a wonderful time touring the Oakland VA Outpatient Clinic, part of the VA San Francisco Healthcare System, @SFVAMC! It was inspiring to meet so many Veterans and interact with Cal, the facility's pup, who brings joy to their days. Huge thanks to the team for hosting me!

For the first time since the 1960s, VA will fund a study of psychedelic-assisted therapy. VA researchers will evaluate MDMA-assisted therapy for Veterans with both PTSD and AUD as part of our mission to conduct research benefitting Veterans and the public.

2/4 I took part in a roundtable discussion at the New Haven Vet Center, hearing & speaking directly with Veterans about how we’re making VA health care the best & most affordable option for them. The interaction was both enlightening & inspiring.

1/4 Last week, I visited the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and held a town hall with dedicated VA employees. We discussed their questions and ideas about improving care for Veterans, working together to ensure that every Veteran receives the care they deserve.
