The 23-year-old started his day at the 2020 Ponderosa Singles Classic with three 300s.
The series is pending approval by USBC and would make him the 36th bowler in history to achieve the feat.

BREAKING: Team USA’s Nick Pate defeats defending champion Marcelo Suartz of Brazil, 190-189, to claim the singles gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru!
The win marks Pate’s first Pan Am gold medal and second gold medal as a member of Team USA.
