UPPI students Franco Febre, Marco Zaplan, and Maria Fe Abalos, along with alumni Lyka Manglal-lan (MPOPS) and Marvin Marquez (MADEM) attended the 2025 KOSTAT-UNFPA Summer Seminar on Population in South Korea.

The 2020 CBPP is a collaborative effort of the Philippine Statistics Authority, UP Population Institute, and members of the Interagency Working Group on Population Projections (IAWGPP). Dr. Grace T. Cruz of UPPI chaired the IAWGPP.

At the national and regional levels, our projections mirror closely the actual counts, strengthening the case for their use for policy planning and resource allocation for the next years.

The recently released 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) counts validate our work on the 2020 Census-Based Population Projections (CBPP) with the PSA.
