We are excited to welcome Dr. Curtis Phills to the UO Dept. of Psychology!."I'm so excited to be here at the University of Oregon. The students and faculty have been so welcoming! This has been a great place to continue my bias busting social cognition research," says Dr. Phills.

We are wrapping up a wonderful Fall 2024 quarter with the 10th annual Faculty Research Blitz! This annual tradition allows the entire department to gather and celebrate fantastic research that's in progress, published, or somewhere in between!

A new course is coming to the Psychology Department this winter! Dr. Karns, the recipient of a 2023-2024 Williams Fund Instructional Grant, has used these funds to develop a course focusing on how we link brain activity to human experiences of emotion, behavior, and thinking.

Within the University of Oregon's Department of Psychology, we have a unique rite of passage that all PhD students go through! First Year Projects, affectionately referred to as "FYPs," are presented in front of the entire department during the Fall of a PhD student's 2nd year.

Congratulations to Dr. Nicole Dudukovic, who has been selected as the 2024 recipient for the Herman Faculty Achievement Award!. This distinguished award honors senior faculty at the University of Oregon who have demonstrated long-standing excellence in teaching.
