Last month, Dr. Aditya Joshi presented at “AI and the courts” symposium organised by the National Judicial College of Australia in Canberra. He delivered an introductory talk on AI and NLP to an audience comprising judges and judicial officers in courts from across the country.

🔊 Prof. Flora Salim and Dr Arash Shaghaghi are CIs of a project that will make it cheaper and easier to process and analyse audio biodiversity data, boosting Australia’s capacity to evaluate the efficacy of the management interventions required to deliver Nature Repair projects.

Dr Aditya Joshi, with a collaborator from University of Surrey, has received a Google Research Scholar grant of US$60,000.👏 The project titled ‘A benchmark for sentiment and sarcasm classification for dialects of English’ will focus on Australian and Indian varieties of English.

Currently, there are 4.2 million registered domains, and DNS abuse has affected many SMEs resulting in huge financial losses. The project aims to identify the causes of DNS abuse in .au domains and suggest countermeasures.
