#COP30: will leaders take decisive course correction now or will they start a new political narrative about possibilities & pass burden to next generation? Let’s not blame #ParisAgreement for lack of delivery. We must bring world back to path to 1.5 C. https://t.co/j48j3ti1Rc

"The best way to protect forests is to empower the people that live there." It's not just about stopping fires. It's about investing in communities that protect our vital ecosystems. That's why the #COP30 Tropical Forests Forever Facility is so important.

Always a pleasure to meet my friend @MafaldaDuarte, Executive Director of @theGCF. Access to climate finance is a key bottleneck for developing countries. We discussed how we can strengthen our partnership to accelerate implementation for resilient infrastructure projects. #COP30

A pleasure to meet with VP Ajay Bhushan Pandey of @AIIB_Official. Multilateral development banks are key to closing the climate finance gap. We explored new opportunities for partnership to deliver sustainable, resilient infrastructure where it's needed most. #COP30

I spoke with @ionewells on @BBCNews. #COP30 isn't about negotiation, it's about action and accountability. We're on a path to 2.5°C. The question is do we accept "overshooting" 1.5°C, or do we fix it now? We must fix it now.

We're past negotiations. #COP30 is about action & accountability. We're not on the 1.5°C path & 'overshooting' isn't inevitable. We must x3 renewables, x2 energy efficiency, deliver on finance, & end coal-fired powerplants. We can do it, but we must do it now.

Today I spoke at our #COP30 event on "Procurement for the Planet." Public procurement is one of the most powerful tools we have. By purchasing smarter, governments can drive market transformation & behavioural change on production and consumption. #ClimateAction @UNEP @FAO @UNIDO

A good meeting with ASG Sanda Ojiambo of @globalcompact. The private sector is a critical partner in bridging the climate implementation gap. We must work together to mobilize sustainable private finance and drive market transformation. #COP30

A pleasure to speak staff and students at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) this morning in Belém. We discussed why we urgently need climate action for 'nosso planeta, nosso futuro'. The passion and energy is exactly what we need to drive change. #COP30

Climate finance is failing those who need it most. At #COP30, we must shift the logic: fragile and conflict-affected states can’t be left behind. Ignoring them is unjust and reckless. The cost of inaction is global. Read my full op-ed 👇

Are we for real or not? I spoke @tainafalcao on @CNNBrasil ahead of the opening of #COP30. The truth is, our current climate targets don't add up to 1.5°C. Belém is a defining moment for the integrity of multilateralism. It's time to recommit to the spirit of #ParisAgreement

I will soon head to Belém, Brazil for #COP30. A decade since #ParisAgreement, the challenge is no longer the path, but the pace. Countries must act with urgency, ambition & solidarity to deliver climate goals & drive resilient, inclusive development. @UNOPS stands ready to help.

In #Jamaica, I assured PM @AndrewHolnessJM of @UNOPS support following #HurricaneMelissa. Such events are a stark reminder: #SIDS pay for emissions they didn't create. As #COP30 approaches, we must recommit to the 1.5C goal, increase climate finance, & demand higher ambition.

Good discussions in DC on the need to accelerate early recovery in Gaza. In addition to my discussions w/ Administration, Senate, Congress, I was glad to host a dialogue w/ think-tanks. @UNOPS-managed UN2720 mechanism is a key enabler to deliver at scale - https://t.co/G6NHBJJEV1
