Phoenix H4 development continues! This past week: We prototyped and developed the shock absorbers which will help phoenix remain upright after landing. Additionally, lots of work has been done on the landing legs and the V3 leg system is being printed.

Additionally you can expect multiple flights from STR-1, STR-2 and STR-3. And if all goes to plan, a minimum of 2 impulse flights!

With flight 227 out of the way, that officially marks the final flight of 2025! 8 perfect flight this year, with more to come next year: for 2026 we will debut the Phoenix H4 landing rocket which will begin test flights NET February. (1/2)

Pre-launch preparations are now underway for today’s flight! Now targeting 3:45pm ET for liftoff!
STR-2 is ready to fly tomorrow! We are targeting tomorrow at 2:30pm ET for the 228th launch of STR, carrying multiple test payloads to validate future projects. This booster will be flying for only its second time, after its first launch back in March.

In the payload bay for this flight is a mockup of the Phoenix H4 landing rocket's avionics. the main goal for this flight is to successfully detect and record apogee. If the flight goes well, the next flight will attempt to calculate and perform a simulated landing burn.
STR-2’s payload and recovery bay are coming along nicely. Both sections are working as expected and have passed systems testing. Next up, the 2 systems will go through their own sets of qualification testing before being integrated with their STR-2 booster

We are targeting NET this upcoming week for flight 228. This flight will carry an additional payload bay onboard, inside will be a test system, being used to validate Phoenix H4's control systems in flight. This will also be only the second flight of this rocket.

Due to delays in the preparation of the rocket, and factors out of my control, flight 228 is now NET November 19th.
We are targeting November 22nd at 1:45pm ET for the 228th flight of an STR rocket. this flight will test new liftoff pressures on the booster, as well as carry a phoenix h4 test assembly to help validate Phoenix's hardware and software in flight

PH4 test rocket performed 4 tests tonight, at 60, 80, 100 and 120PSI This was intended to test the rocket to failure however somehow the RTS system, seals and pressure chamber all held up amazingly well!
