This past weekend, Dr. Laura Ferris & Dr. Donna Culton attended Fall Clinical Dermatology, held in Las Vegas. At the conference, Dr. Culton spoke on Bullous pemphigoid and Dr. Ferris spoke about Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment.

For our next faculty spotlight, we would like to showcase Rami Al-Rohil, MBBS! Dr. Al-Rohil just had his one year anniversary with UNC Dermatology earlier this month, having joined us in October 2024. Dr. Al-Rohil serves as our only full-time Dermatopathologist.

Dr. Huang recently attended a meeting of the Dermatology Foundation's Board of Directors and Advisory Council. Over the past 60 years the Dermatology Foundation has given out over 2,600 research awards, investing over $92 million in support of dermatologic research!

Dr. Diaz joined UNC Dermatology in 2000 as Chair. He remained as chair until 2016, when he stepped down but remained as a Professor & Chair Emeritus. During his time as chair, Dr. Diaz helped the department expand to new heights in clinical care, research, & education.

Over the summer, Dr. Luis Diaz announced his retirement from the UNC Department of Dermatology. This past week, several of our faculty members were able to gather and celebrate his time with UNC Dermatology, as well as celebrate him as a renowned and loved physician.
