This afternoon, UI Deputy Director Liana Almony made remarks at the final CSW69 Civil Society Briefing in her capacity as the Chair of the NGO Committee on Social Development. Liana reflected on the progress and challenges ahead of the Second World Summit for Social Development.

This morning, UI Executive Director Jean Quinn made remarks for a CSW69 side event titled “Advancing Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment: Key to Ending Violence Against Women.” This event was co-organized by UI, WorldWIDE Network: Nigeria and Habitat International Coalition.

This morning, UI Deputy Director Liana Almony led a breakout session and made remarks in her capacity as the chair of @NGOCSocD at a CSW69 side event titled “Accelerating Gender Justice and Safe Workplaces for All: Advancing ILO Convention No. 190 for a Violence-Free Future.”

This morning, we at UNANIMA International attended the CSW69 Townhall Meeting with the Secretary General and Civil Society. We are hopeful that the demands of civil society to effectively address gaps in gender equality will be reflected in the negotiations at CSW69.
