Today, Executive Secretary @claverGatete also met with Algerian minister of Foreign trade and export promotion, @KamelRezigDz , discussed how the #AfCFTA provides #Algeria with a strategic opportunity to increase and diversify trade exchanges to the rest of #Africa.

#Algeria is investing in major transport and logistics infrastructure such as the Trans-Saharan Highway and the Algeria-Mauritania road corridor. The country is also developing port and rail connections with Sahel countries to facilitate trade under the AfCFTA.

Executive Secretary @claverGatete met with H.E Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, to discuss #Algeria’s efforts to transform its agricultural sector in support of growth, job creation and food security, despite growing climate risks.
