The brief underscores the grave human rights violations inherent in forced sterilization and calls for restitution and the restoration of truth for survivors and families, as well as transformative, preventive remedies addressing intersectional inequalities.

The Human Rights Clinic submitted an amicus brief addressing forced sterilization to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights with reproductive health rights expert, Christina Zampas.
