💯 . The disruption of the Avenue & 401 overpass must end now.
Tonight, we spoke with Toronto Police about the impact of the continued rallies at Avenue & 401 & how our community feels about images of officers handing coffee to “anti-#Israel protestors.”. Our message was clear: The constant disruption of this major route must end now.

Thank you @DavidPiccini for your exceptional leadership. Since October 7th, it can feel lonely to be Jewish. But we are far from alone.
Today, I met with @FredHahnCUPE for the first time to tell him to stop being anti-Semitic and focus on his workers - all of them!

An important update from @TorontoPolice. At this time of rising hate and threats targeting Jews, we are grateful for all that police are doing to keep our community and city safe.
Two people have been charged for wearing masks to conceal their identities while taking part in a demonstration on March 7, 2024. Charges can be laid at any time—whether it's hours, days, or even weeks after an incident, including those that take place at demonstrations.

We strongly echo this important statement. Hamas murders, tortures, rapes, and abducts. Lying isn't exactly out of character. Media and no one else should take Hamas at its word when it comes to events in Gaza. The government should set the record straight. #cdnpoli.
🔴Joint statement from CIJA, @CanadianFSWC & @bnaibrithcanada🔴. Canadian Jewish groups are calling on the Government of #Canada to retract & clarify its earlier comments on the hospital explosion in #Gaza that give credence to the false #Hamas narrative. #cdnpoli. See below 👇

Toronto is blessed to be home to people from around the 🌎. When a community celebrates culture & identity, we should invite that celebration not denounce it. This response from @MayorOliviaChow is a slap in the face to the values that define Toronto. And that's what's divisive.
Yom Ha’atzmaut is about the founding of the modern state of 🇮🇱, and the flag was raised in municipalities across 🇨🇦 to mark 76 years of Israel’s independence. We are deeply disappointed that @MayorOliviaChow declined to attend today's flag raising, characterizing the event as

Our US, UK & German allies have condemned this. @JustinTrudeau, @melaniejoly where's Canada's voice?. Last we checked, Canadians are FOR democracies (like Israel) and AGAINST terrorists (like Hamas). Ottawa cannot be silent when the ICC has clearly lost its moral compass.
We’re calling on the Government of 🇨🇦 to vigorously repudiate and distance itself from the ICC Prosecutor’s application to seek arrest warrants against Israeli leasers in relation to Israel’s current war of self-defense against Hamas in Gaza. More:

Ve'ahavta does wonderful work to help our city's most vulnerable, across all faith & cultural communities. It is sickening that their team is being targeted with hate in this way. We stand with @VeahavtaNews & urge the City of Toronto to do more to confront this growing hate.
The rise in antisemitism is impacting Ve'ahavta’s work. We have just issued a statement to Toronto Mayor @OliviaChow and all @cityofTO councilors, asking them to take action against antisemitism in our city. Read our statement and take action, too. 👉

Sickening to see this in the streets of Toronto. This isn't about peace or human rights. It's about hate, pure and simple. Those who glorify terrorism should be exposed and condemned. RT and join us in saying: This should never happen in our city, or anywhere.
We are horrified by the calls for violence against Jews at an anti-#Israel rally that took place in #Toronto yesterday, where protestors called for "intifada" (violent uprising) and celebrated the recent wave of murderous terror attacks that claimed the lives of 14 Israelis.

The US is right to suspend funding to UNRWA. Canada must do so too. Allegations that UNRWA staff were involved in October 7th are sickening & demand accountability. Not just for perpetrators, but for the org as a whole. This situation isn't just dysfunctional. It's dangerous.
UNRWA employees participating in the massacre of Jews on October 7 is only the latest serious allegation concerning that UN agency. Like the 🇺🇸, 🇨🇦 must immediately pause additional funding to UNRWA and review these allegations, and the steps the UN is taking to address them.
