The Chemistry DEI Cohort invites all students, faculty, and staff to join us for our annual Identity Awareness Week. Each session will be from 5:00-6:00 pm in CB W323 and free snacks will be provided! Join us for snacks, discussion, and community building!

Hello everyone! A date has been set for our February meeting. Please note the change in day of the week, time, and room. For the spring 2025 semester, we will be meeting on the second Monday of every month at 5pm in W360 in the chemistry building. We hope to see you all there!

Join the DEI cohort, CSARS, and CGSA in the Rival Against Hunger Food Drive Competition. From now until September 13th, please drop off any unused food and hygiene products to the front office on the third floor of the chemistry building.

The University of Iowa IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast will be held Tuesday, February 27th from 8-10 am in CB W323. Coffee and donuts will be provided by the Chemistry DEI Committee, and we look forward to connecting scientists from all over campus to promote diversity in science!

The Chemistry DEI Cohort is hosting a Professional Clothing Drive for the Clothing Closet located in the IMU. If you would like to donate some of your professional clothing, bring your items to the front office of the chemistry building and place them in the donation box!

Everyone be sure to stop by the @UIowaCSARS table in the chemistry building to buy a pumpkin stress ball. You can buy one for yourself or have them delivered in the building to your friends with a note. The stress balls are going fast!đ

The DEI Committee and Cohort are hosting chemistry colloquium, next Friday, October 27th in PBB W151. Dr. Michelle Scherer and her former student Dr. Danielle Land will be discussing the connection between chemistry and environmental justice work!
