Today we celebrate our COMD program coordinator FATIMA MORAN who was recognized by the UH Staff Council with the 2025 Rookie of the Year Award!!.Fatima is an essential member of the #uhcomd and is one of the reasons why we're a #top40slp program!

Our celebration of newly promoted Full Professors is spilling into a second week! Full Professor Monique Mills has been at UH for 7 years. Her research, funded by the NIH and ASHFoundation, examines story telling and code switching in bi-dialectal children. #UHComD #top40slp

He founded the Program for Supporting & Mentoring Students with Autism which trains UH students to provide support for their neurodiverse peers. He serves on many UH committees:athletics, food services, & MLK DAY. Dr. Ross is one of the reasons #UHCOMD is a #top40slp program!

This week we're celebrating our newly promoted Full Professors! Instructional Full Professor Byron Ross came to UH in 2011. He teaches a variety of UG and MA courses including Intro to COMD, language development/disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. #UHComD #top40slp.

Dr. Ivey is a huge champion for students and mentors them in many ways, including as the NSSLHA advisor and the lead for COMD Coogs in Belize. Dr. Ivey is one of the reasons #UHComD is a #top40slp program!.
