A group of researchers at Utrecht University (Netherlands) using the OceanParcels particle tracking framework to follow plastic and anything else in the ocean!

Virtual particles can get stuck due to low model resolution near coastlines. Our newly released Parcels v2.3.0 code has multiple options for 'slippery' boundary conditions: 'linear', 'partial' and 'free' slip. This helps get particles unstuck on complex coastlines as #NewZealand
