Huge congratulations to the winners Mae Milburn for 'Dirty Angel' and Asiya Lawal for 'Fatima: Queen of the Djinns.

The Judges, Professor Richard Hand and renowned American playwright Naomi Wallace praised the detailed research, the enormous scope and engaging characterisation in the works observing the abstract playfulness and humour which keeps the legacy of Snoo Wilson's writing alive.

The readers on stage gave nuanced and moving performances from each of the works, leaving the audience desperate to find out what came next for the characters.

The Snoo Wilson Prize for Scriptwriting was an enchanting evening, honouring the astonishing talent of UEA Scriptwriters. We were transported through time, across the globe and encountered the terrifying and touching in equal measure.
