The team has played very bad today, but the refs in this game have been HORRIFIC as well.

Is this the game that gets someone in the UD admin fired up ? I sure hope so,

Jordan Derkack being out has taught me just how much we need him for free throw points and rebounding

All of this to say, as many of said before- get serious. UD took a swing on Archie as a young assistant, hit (and he turned out to not even be good!) and then chose the least risky guy they knew would say yes. Grow some balls and take a swing. Everything is set up for success

I simply hate all of the Big East discussion. Dayton makes so much sense on paper for the BE but is missing the biggest thing: on court success. I truly think if Dayton was dominate (as they should be), the fan base and brand would force the BE’s hand but we are not close to that

If you remove Obi from the equation, AG has nothing. I would hedge that Daron doesn’t come to UD w/o the great publicity of Obi going pro and then what are we left with? The program outside of 2020 has moved in a negative direction when all signs say they should be thriving!!!

Is Dayton genuinely in any better of a position now than it was say 15 years ago? Post NPOY, proj. 1 seed, 4 straight trips to NCAAs? After realignment, being one of the top spenders in the conference? UD has had so much go right to push them to be great and still aren’t

There is an argument to be said to put your best players with the ball in simple action at the end of the game, but I think that it is more of the off ball guys are doing nothing in an AG offense to make it easier for the best players.

Also, AG iso’d Ryan Mikesell in the Kansas OT game instead of giving Obi the ball. Love Mikesell, buttttt. Forgot the Crutcher three too- just great players making great shots, but the offense was so so simple in each instance

the two best late game heroics I have seen from AG coached teams had nothing to do with AG. Amzil made the Kansas shot because AG drew up a play for Malachi that got swatted out of the galaxy and against Nevada in the tourney, Brea hit 3 DEEP threes to start that run off

The lack of Montgomery in this game is dumbfounding

This game really has nothing to do with our inside defense and bigs being out. Castro has been pretty locked up. GW has hit some great shots, but UDs offense is as bad as I have seen it. Bennet is visibly forcing and frustrated. Gotta hope for a lot of fast break in the 2nd
