Charles Henry Turner He was the first to demonstrate Pavlovian conditioning in an insect. He published 71 papers, including 3 in Science, and made important contributions that anticipated the field of experimental psychology to various extents. 2/2

This Black History Month we want to celebrate Black scientists. Charles Henry Turner (1867-1923) was an African American scientist who despite widespread racism and discrimination, made immense research contributions to animal behaviour and entomology. 1/2 #BHM

This Black History Month we want to celebrate Black scientists: Charlotte Armah was born in London to parents who emigrated from Ghana. She is a Nutritional Biochemist at the Institute of Food Research. Her particular area of research looks at the effect of diet on human health.
