Orange Shirt Day is an important day to reflect on the role residential schools played in Canada’s history and the impacts still being felt today. I’m proud to share this video that highlights the work @UBCOKanagan has done over the last 5 years.

Every September @UBCOkanagan’s courtyard becomes the home of this beautiful and powerful art installation honouring both individuals who attended residential schools and those who didn’t make it home.
Today, students, faculty and staff installed a series of hummingbird flags in the courtyard to represent the children who never came home and remember the unmarked graves at residential schools across Canada. Read more about the annual installation: https://t.co/CVjQzb76K5
