Congratulations to NMP Professor Dr. Nadine Caron who was honoured this week as a Canadian Medical Hall of Fame inductee! She was recognized for her transformative leadership in Indigenous health and surgical practice at a ceremony held in Hamilton, Ontario on Thursday night.

The NMP welcomed education leaders from The University of Galway (Ireland) this week, who were visiting to learn more about distributed medical education and the training of medical students within a northern and rural context. @uniofgalway

Jake Ostberg, a @UNBC grad student working with NMP Professor Dr. Sarah Gray, was one of only two students in Canada to earn a scholarship award at a leading international conference on obesity and diabetes for his research.

Just ahead of our local grad celebration this afternoon, we brought our Class of 2025 together for one last time in front of the Dr. Donald Rix Northern Health Sciences Centre at UNBC, the home of the NMP.

The annual Run for Rural Medicine at UNBC in @CityofPG, organized by NMP students, was held on the weekend. The event, which raised funds for @HopeAir, welcomed about 70 runners, including participants from NMP and the UBC Master of Physical Therapy - North program at UNBC.

Our 2025 Grad Class served breakfast at the hospital in @CityofPG today: “Flipping pancakes and saying thank you! As we wrap up our final year and head off to residency, we wanted to show our appreciation to the incredible staff at UHNBC who’ve supported us every step of the way"

Dr. Fareen Din, a nephrologist in Prince George, at left, and Dr. Graham Lloyd, a @cityofpg emergency physician, delivered lectures to the NMP Year 2 class last week during Shock Week Teaching: pH Crashes & Fast Rhythms.

Congratulations to @UNBC PhD candidate Janet Ocloo on her 2024 IDRC International Doctoral Research Award! As part of her postgraduate research at UNBC, Janet is working with NMP professor Dr. Sarah de Leeuw on a project focused on support systems and caregiver quality of life.
