A&S has a new name! . The J. Frank Barefield Jr. College of Arts & Sciences became official this afternoon after being approved by The University of Alabama Board of Trustees. Together, we carry forward a legacy of learning and step boldly into a future of impact.

Yesterday we welcomed our new faculty to the J. Frank Barefield Jr. College of Arts & Sciences!. 44 new faculty members in 19 departments will be joining Barefield this fall. We're so excited to see what they achieve this semester!

A group of BCAS students, faculty, and staff recently visited Thailand through the Southeast Asia Initiative. Led by BCAS Senior Associate Dean for International Programming, Finance, and Administration Lisa Pawloski, the group engaged with dedicated healthcare teams.
