Someone can look happy but still be depressed.
Someone who appears confident can still have anxiety.
Someone who looks “ok” can still be struggling.
You never know what someone’s going through behind closed doors.
Be kind always.
WE DID IT!!!
A little over a year ago I started this journey so I wouldn’t feel so alone. At the time I had no idea it would be the best decision I ever made.
The community we’ve built is something truly special & I can’t wait to see where we go from here.
Thank you guys🥹
I’m going to address this since it keeps coming up.
Streaming/content creation is a job. Yes, it can be a hobby but it is not for myself and many others.
So stop saying this.
It completely discounts our hard work and the fact that this CAN be a full time gig.
I own 3
Streamers:
How do you handle viewers who expect special treatment because they gift a large amount of subs/bits, etc.? This is outside of granting VIP or anything like that.
I’ve had people leave my community, unfollow or block me because of this. I’m extraordinary grateful for
New streamers:
Do NOT get caught up in follow for follow or support for support groups.
Yes, they may bring in a lot of followers but it’s transactional & empty.
Don’t fall for it!
Tonight was abso-fucking-lutely insane. 1000+ subs during our subathon turned SOBathon, 300 of which happened in the span of 30 min. If you know my story after leaving medicine and throughout my time as a streamer, I truly never thought I’d be here.
I don’t know what I did to
Reminder: you’re someone’s favorite content creator. Someone’s life is better just because you hit “go live.”
Please don’t underestimate your importance to your community 💜
Mental illness is just as valid as a physical illness.
You wouldn’t tell someone with a broken leg to “just walk it off”.
So let’s stop telling people with anxiety to “just calm down” or those with depression to “just cheer up”.
Well since we’re getting a lot of new engagement let’s spin it positively!
For anyone new here, let me reintroduce myself:
I’m Tyy. I’m a variety streamer who emphasizes mental health education and breaking down stigma. I hope to impact people’s lives in a positive way whether
For those who don’t know, my husband lost his job a month ago after his company went through layoffs
This is the 1st month that I’ll be able to afford paying all of our bills via Twitch & content creation
I’m just so proud of how hard I’ve been working to make this possible🥹😭
THIS is why people feel alone when they’re going through something heavy. THIS is why people isolate.
It isn’t hard to say “I’m sorry for your loss” and move on if you have a no trauma dumping rule.
“Making an example” out of a grieving person is not ok.
I know that I’m also in the wrong a little for saying “well my mom died” in a stream after being asked where have I been but the response just isn’t it fam…I made a tweet longer thingy to share a little background but here ya go..
Hey you.
I’m proud of you for continuing to show up and continuing to fight.
It’s ok to stumble and fall. Just remember you’ve survived everything life has thrown at you so far so you can get through this too ♥️
Just gonna vent for a minute since I think many will empathize with this and it’s been happening to me more and more (long tweet)
If you’re a viewer please don’t openly compare a streamer to another streamer or a community to another community.
We understand that some
I feel so incredibly drawn to
@SweeetTails
story and her discussion about her mental health. I’ve been bawling my eyes out for the entire stream.
I know what it’s like to have your body and mind say “no more”. I walked away from an entire high powered career as a surgeon because
Do ya’ll have any tips on how to start a YouTube channel? I’ve been sitting on it for months & am so scared to jump in because I have no idea what I’m doing 🫠
Absolutely honored to be featured on the Together for Pride Shelf for an ENTIRE YEAR starting today! 🌈
I’ve only recently become comfortable sharing my sexuality as a bi woman on public platforms (tbh I’m still a little nervous 😬) so this is a big step for me!
Can’t wait to
They make us laugh til we cry, help us style our wigs, and dole out the hottest of takes, but most of all LGBTQIA+ streamers build authentic and welcoming communities.

Been told I look like a man so many times that it’s actually starting to affect my self esteem…
Like why can’t people just be fucking kind? It’s not that hard.
Sometimes I wonder if I’m too old for networking with creators at cons and whatnot. Other times I wonder if I’m too old for the streaming space in general.
My partying days are FAR behind me and I’m inherently an introvert with a limited social battery so the con parties are on
“bUt yOu WeRE a SuRgEoN, HoW cOuLd yOu ThRow aLL ThAt AwaY?!”
I was, in no uncertain terms, at deaths doorstep when I walked away.
At a certain point you have to realize that your life is worth more than ANY job. Idgaf what that job is.
That was the choice I was facing.
If
Friendly reminder that heavily triggering topics do not belong in someone’s Twitch chat.
Mental health is so important which is why the proper resources (like therapists, crisis lines, your local support network, psychiatrist, etc.) should be utilized.
A streamer’s chat should
I just had my first ever "bad" raid where someone on the creator's channel said a slur shortly after the raid. I feel absolutely awful for putting my community in that space...I just want everyone who was there to know that I don't condone what was said whatsoever.
I am so proud of
@SweeetTails
for sharing her story and being vulnerable with us on such a big stage.
You are an absolute light and inspiration. Mental health matters. I hope you never forget how much you matter ♥️
Had someone call me “crazy” during stream for walking away from medicine for my mental health.
I truly don’t care what they think of my choice but that sentiment is so common yet exceedingly damaging so let me say:
Mental illness does NOT equal “crazy”.
It is just as valid

Had something happen on stream last night and feel I need to make it public here:
While I’m a physician, I CANNOT and will not provide medical advice on stream or otherwise. This is why I have a chatbot that says this in stream and I have to be very clear.
Not only is it
OK WHAT.
We ended up on the front page which has been a dream of mine since starting. This was only possible because of the amazing community we've built.
This is just the beginning and I can't wait to see where we go next :)
Ya'll....we hit our goal of getting to level 8 on the hype challenge which means
WE GET A SPOT ON THE FRONT EFFING PAGE
WTF HOW DID THIS HAPPEN
I'm absolutely blown away by everyone's generosity and support. I may or may not be sobbing rn...
Setting boundaries in your stream does not make you a bad person.
You are completely within your rights to ban someone if they’re making you uncomfortable for any reason.
Your streams are YOUR space and you should feel justified in protecting it. 💜
I hit my breaking point on stream tonight and I’m unsure of what the future of Mental Health Mondays will look like.
Please be patient with me while I work to figure it out.
I want so badly to help people but I also need to protect my health and wellbeing so I can keep doing
I wanted to explain what happened on Monday and why I may be making a change to Mental Health Monday streams.
TW: trauma dumping, panic attack, threats of suicide
I’m gonna need to cancel stream today and take a mental health day. I’ve got a lot going on behind the scenes and need to make sure I’m taking care of myself.
I’ll plan on seeing you on Monday 💜
If you were at
#TwitchConVegas
this weekend, be gentle with yourself when you get home.
These things can be really draining and overstimulating so it’s important to be patient and do a little self care before jumping back in to things!
I’m still in shock over last night 😭
Not only did we reach 1M exp during the hype challenge but the community surprised us by coming together to donate enough to get
@Visii0nz
to a Philadelphia Eagles game, which as been a dream of his since we was a kid.
The generosity and
I’ll never understand why people are so rude online.
I guarantee most of these people would NEVER say this crap to someone’s face but they become so confident behind a keyboard.
It’s easier to dehumanize someone that way, which is so sad because words matter.
I think some forget that our viewers are whole people behind their usernames.
They’re people with lives, families and struggles that are so much more complex than what we see.
They aren’t just numbers or dollar signs.
They’re people who are spending their precious and
I am SO excited to announce that I've been chosen as a Legendary Woman of

As part of this campaign, I'll be periodically featured on the women's shelf on the ✨FRONT PAGE ✨for the entire year!

How do you prevent your mods from starting a rebellion?
I thought their working conditions were very equitable as I have them in the basement with Lowe’s buckets for poo and taco Tuesdays where I DOUBLE up on the buckets PLUS give them two ply toilet
