This will be a rare moment in Dru DeShields' young life. The Kent State quarterback was always a big fan of any team his older brother TJ was a part of. In this week's Wagon Wheel game at Akron, DeShields hopes he can beat that team. My story.

Unbelievable incompetence has struck Ohio high school girls basketball as @WarriorsWB have let go one of the best coaches in the states history, one of the most respected, most liked coaches in the business, Walt DeShields. After I speak to Walt I will be putting out a statement

Coaching is becoming harder and harder because parents can criticize a coach from the stands or online, but if a coach points out a player’s limitations, it results in a letter/meeting to the administration. Confident coaches, have the best administrators.

I’m hearing from several former players and sources out of West Branch that the school is not bringing back Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach Walt DeShields after 20 years. DeShields went 20 years and did not have a losing season, Finishing at 378-119.

I just spoke with West Branch Girls Basketball head coach Walt DeShields, He tells me the news is accurate and he was told the school wants to move into a “ different direction “.
