9/18/11: The Rangers rolled to a 3-0 win over the Mariners, powered by Adrian Beltré’s 2-RBI homer & Elvis Andrus’s clutch hit. Matt Harrison dominated on the mound with 6.2 scoreless innings and nine strikeouts, while Neftalí Feliz closed it out for his 28th save of the season.

9/18/10: Cliff Lee held Seattle to one run through 8 IPs & Texas posted a 6-1 victory over Seattle. Lee (12-8) was dominant, limiting the Mariners to six hits and one walk, striking out eight in his first start against his former team, who dealt him to the Rangers in mid-season.

9/18/06: Texas exploded for 8 runs on 11 hits, led by Nelson Cruz’s 3-RBI homer, Carlos Lee’s 2-run double, & strong contributions from Michael Young, Hank Blalock, & Gary Matthews. Kevin Millwood pitched 7 solid IPs, allowing just 1 run to earn the win as Texas beat Seattle 8-1.

9/18/05: The Rangers hit 5 homers, including blasts by David Dellucci, Alfonso Soriano, Rod Barajas & two by Mark Teixeira, one from each side of the plate, to up the season total at home to a Major League-record 152 home runs and complete the four-game sweep of the Seattle 8-6.

9/18/04: Michael Young tripled and scored, Laynce Nix doubled and added a run, and Gary Matthews delivered the go-ahead RBI. Joaquín Benoit set the tone, Erasmo Ramirez earned the win, and Francisco Cordero closed it out as the Texas Rangers beat the Anaheim Angels 2–0.

9/18/99: Aaron Sele dominated with eight innings of one-run ball as Texas beat Tampa Bay 6–1. Juan González and Lee Stevens doubled in early runs, with Tom Goodwin adding a steal, two hits, and three RBI. Two Rays errors helped Texas build a quick lead as the Rangers cruised.

9/18/98: John Burkett pitched 8 strong innings and Todd Zeile and Lee Stevens homered last night to lead the Texas Rangers past the visiting Oakland Athletics, 3-1. The Rangers, who began the night one game ahead of Anaheim in the American League West, won their fourth straight.

9/18/77: Texas won the 1st game of their doubleheader, 5–4. They jumped out to a 4–1 lead with an RBI double by Jim Mason in the 1st, another RBI double by rookie Pat Putnam in the 2nd, & Toby Harrah’s 25th homer of the year in the third. The win came against the Minnesota Twins.

9/18/74: Steve Hargan (12-8) pitches a three hit shutout over the California Angels in the second game of a doubleheader. Hargan strikes out six and doesn't allow walk as the Texas Rangers win 2-0. Tom Robson drives in a run in the fourth inning and eighth inning.

9/18/73: Jim Bibby goes the distance earning his 8th win of the season as the Texas Rangers top the Chicago White Sox 10-2. Bibby allows two runs on five hits with five strike outs. Jeff Burroughs homers, doubles while driving in two and Jim Spencer homers while driving in two.
