Source confirms: Sonny Gray traded from Cardinals to Red Sox. Contract being reworked to one-year plus mutual option. 2026 salary will be $31M, mutual option buyout of $10M. Gray essentially getting $41M for one year.

Not too surprised by this. He’s hit in a key position in the Twins lineup the last few seasons and is clearly better than Outman and potentially better than Roden. Figured it would be a trade or keep, and still think it’ll be a trade if anyone wants him (not convinced they do)

Just looked at Alex Jackson’s stats. Yeah, this is terrible from the Twins front office. Your team is going to be awful and you trade a somewhat interesting prospect for a journeyman catcher. Just sign one of the dozens of those guys sitting in FA. Terrible asset management.

Man, I really wanted Eeles to work out and they didn’t even give him a shot last season to play 30 year old journeymen Ryan Fitzgerald (nothing against him, but that’s just bad roster management). Bad decision here imo.

Dubon can’t really hit and is probably gonna make 8-10 mill in arb but would’ve been fun for the Twins to be in on him. He’s an elite defender which is exactly what the Twins need, and the Braves didn’t give up much.

The #MNTwins have acquired RHRP Eric Orze from the Tampa Bay Rays for RHP Jacob Kisting. Orze tossed 41.2 innings for the Rays last season with a 3.02 ERA and 40 strikeouts. That fills one spot of the Twins 2026 bullpen.

I know nothing about this guy but I can tell he’s a massive upgrade over Borgs

The Twins are moving to their third hitting coach in the past three seasons with Keith Beauregard replacing Matt Borgschulte. Beauregard helped develop young Tigers hitters like Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson and Kerry Carpenter.

The Twins are hiring Grady Sizemore as their outfield/baserunning coach on Derek Shelton’s coaching staff. Sizemore spent the last two seasons on the White Sox’s staff, including a 45-game stint as an interim manager.
