Something most parents don’t realize: these e-bikes require their own insurance policy (a motorcycle policy) and are not insured for liability on their homeowners policy. If their child causes an accident, it is not insured leaving them liable for damages which can be severe.

If you think these fires are all started and fueled by “climate change,” your opinion is factually incorrect. Humans are the cause of these fires. Whether intentionally or negligently, is what we will find out eventually. We will all pay in one way or another, sadly.

The issue with e-bikes, is that usually because they do not require registration with the DMV people do not realize they need separate insurance. Without a “motorcycle” policy, liability to third parties is NOT COVERED. Lawsuits are happening with no insurance. Scary!
