The “end of apps” won’t come from Apple or Google. It’ll come from Appnesia = our collective inability to care about yet another icon. The next OS isn’t app-based. It’s AI-based = all apps available at once with your own Agent to manage & select them for you, as and when you need

We used to forget our passwords. Now we forget the apps themselves. Call it Appnesia = a new syndrome of the AI era where there are more apps than humans. How long before we stop downloading icons and just ask an AI to do the thing? 2/5

There will soon be more apps than people. The side effect? 👉 Appnesia: forgetting which app does what, why you installed it, or even if you already have one for the job. Will AI save us from the app glut or just add to it? 1/5
