As for Indian Americans and/or Hindu Americans, I hope the era of being a "doormat" for one political party/ideology is now past. It is also critical to combat and speak out against Indophobia and/or Hinduphobia in the US, Canada, or elsewhere, be it from the right or the left.

The grace and fortitude demonstrated by Harris is commendable. Her very candidature was inspiring to many and I hope they remain inspired. The people have now spoken, decisively. I now hope to see an end to the extreme political polarization that was tearing this nation apart.

The election results seem along expected lines as per my analysis earlier this year. 👇 Of course, nothing much changed on the policy differences either since then.

Congrats to President Trump on what is perhaps the greatest comeback story in history! #AmericaFirst 🇺🇸👏. There is much work to be done to fix the state of this union--and the world. I hope all elected officials get to execution mode right away in the nation's interest.

As for researchers, both LLMs for data management and Data management/systems for LLMs are exciting and fruitful areas to study further. Great to see the growing body of work in both directions and I hope it translates to better systems and applications for all!.

And finally, congrats also to my fellow awardee, Viktor Leis! Apparently this is the first time in VLDB history that this award is given to two co-winners because the award committee really insisted after long discussions--really thankful for their diligence! 😄.
