10 years ago today, I arrived Canada from Nigeria & life hasn’t been the same since then. To those planning on travelling abroad this year or in the near future, come closer because things aren’t what they used to be. Here are 10 key lessons I have learnt over the years abroad.

Today, as the delivery approached, I made sure we were on a video call together. When I told her she had a delivery, you needed to see her face. Questions upon questions. Emi FBI 😄.
Every year, on Temilola’s birthday, I’ve made it compulsory that she receives a cake even if we aren’t celebrating. For the first time since we got married, she is away in South Africa for work today, but I made sure to get a cake delivered to her at her location. Happy

Reminds me of 2018, Downtown Toronto. Left work and rushed to look for where I could get cake (because last minute🤦🏾♂️). Found a place online called DQ (Dairy Queen). Got there only to find out it’s “ice cream cake” and not normal one 😭. We ate it like that in love.
