Lift-and-coast? Minimal at Suzuka. Clipping zones push the DF/drag trade-off to its absolute limit. This is where aero efficiency wins — not raw power. A clean chassis will outpace a strong engine. Body design is the real differentiator this weekend #F1 #Mercedes #JapaneseGP

NO INVESTIGATION You may have seen a couple of stories online stating that the FIA was investigating the Mercedes front wing, which looks amazing for this weekend’s race, but that is not correct. The FIA is not conducting any such investigation, so it is business as usual. #f1

Suzuka doesn't forgive compromises. You need mechanical grip for the slow stuff, aero load for the high-speed sequences — and crucially, both working together. A car that's strong in one and weak in the other will lose time everywhere #F1 #Mercedes #Trackmap #JapanGP

There’s clearly two phases of movement here, however, what we don’t know is whether the default location is where the wing snaps into place, and any movement beyond that is due to aerodynamic load from braking. So a reverse flexi-wing…?

When I said that those who think a 16:1 compression ratio under load is unrealistic, and that the 18:1 figure mentioned was within almost everyone’s reach, I was in complete agreement. We’ll see some suckers in a few months’ time #F1
