4/4 Roughly half of all COVID deaths occurred in ages 75+. Just a bit more than half, again below all but 3 leading causes. The proportion of COVID deaths above the age of 75 was 11.6% lower than the pre-pandemic natural death average.

3/4 Median age of COVID deaths in the US, was 6.1% below the pre-pandemic age for heart disease, the leading cause of death in the US. Also, it was 7.4% below influenza & pneumonia, as it is often compared to that. Only 3 leading causes had a lower median age of death.

2/4 Breaking it down: I compared COVID to the leading 13 natural causes of death in the US. These causes comprise almost 80% of all naturally caused deaths in the US.
