I hate software as a service/licensing. They aren't doing the hosting, why can't they just sell the software as a 1 time purchase? I'd pay like $60 for it.
@spinelessaisha You can already host a server for free, that hasn't changed. Not sure if I understand the question. Unless you're asking for unlimited slots, then I don't think so, since licensing is how we make our money as explained here:

The same company that has already been proven to sell your information, and to keep your information even after you request an account deletion, totally isn't going to keep information obtained through your ID upload guys.

This is why smaller (vs 10,000+ person corps) companies are much better to work for. The bureaucratic bloat hasn't set in & work still trumps conformity. This guy's 50 man team is probably doing a lot more than a company 20x the size.
