Well done to our amazing archer Saffron (Year 8), who placed first in the 168th Grand National Archery Meeting this weekend. Saffron placed 1st overall in the competition in the Double Bristol IV Women’s U14 Recurve. An outstanding success of which we are all incredibly proud.

Teachers love hearing about what their students have been inspired to do and so it was great to catch up with alumna Charlotte and find out how her Physics lessons at Truro High have led to her carrying out ground-breaking research in the jungles of Borneo.

Pizza Hut UK’s Sustainability Manager has been put on the spot today by Prep 3 who questioned the global company’s policy on palm oil and sustainability. It was inspiring for them to hear Cerys talk she encouraged the girls to be the positive change they want to see in the world.

Our new outdoor classroom is taking shape with the commencement this week of our whole school Creative Arts project. Inspired by the famous architect Gaudi, students have begun work designing and laying stunning mosaic patterns to decorate the “walls” of the new classroom.

Last night's PERFORM workshop welcomed Michele Bromley, a talented special effects and makeup artist. Michele’s work has taken her from feature films and Hollywood blockbusters to daytime TV and makeup for the stage, and it was fascinating for our girls to learn about her career.

Today Prep 5 practised painting botanical illustrations ‘en plein air’ - to paint in the outdoors. Just like the famous impressionist artists Monet and Renoir, the girls observed the way the natural light fell on their subjects and mirrored their observations in their paintings.
