True Light's founder Pastor Alice Piggee-Wallack, met a warm hostess at a local restaurant who informed the pastor that the support she had received from True Light and their staff helped her secure that job. These full-circle moments drive our motivation for this work.

A woman had been sober for more than 70 days when she entered True Light's emergency cold-weather overnight shelter last winter. Utilizing the overnight shelter as well as Emancipation Station, our day shelter for women, and our community meals allowed her to focus on recovery.
