Dozens of veterans were in attendance Friday for Concord Elementary School’s Veterans Day Appreciation Ceremony. Students said the Pledge of Allegiance, sang songs, read thank you letters, participated in a flag folding ceremony and a POW/MIA Missing Man Table Ceremony.

I would like to congratulate 2016 THS graduate 1LT Austin Jacobs on being named as the newest B 2 bomber pilot this past Friday. The Air Force owns 20 B-2s and they are the most expensive plane in the inventory. Congratulations son I’m very proud of you!

For many students their day starts and ends by riding a school bus. The safety of the students riding to and from school and to school-sanctioned events is top priority. Since 2017, 6,200 traffic crashes involving school buses have been reported in Ohio

Congratulations to my daughter, a 2016 THS graduate. Señorita Jacobs is now Señora Cline. She was a beautiful bride and I’m happy to have gained another son.

Today is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Thank you so much to the Troy City Schools bus drivers who get our children safely to and from school, athletic events, band competitions, field trips and other school activities! We appreciate all you do!

Austin Jacobs, a 2016 THS grad, a 2020 USAF Academy grad and is currently in flight training was selected tonight to train specifically to be a fighter pilot. His dream since elementary school is coming true. Thanks to everyone in Troy who has supported him. Proud of you son!

Today is National Custodian Day. I want to thank the custodial staff at Troy City Schools for everything they do to keep our buildings clean and safe for our students and staff.

We desperately need bus drivers! We had to cancel 2 athletic events this fall because we did not have a driver. If you or someone you know would be interested in driving a bus for @SchoolsTroy please consider attending one of the open houses hosted by @TroyTrojansBus.

Thank you to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Troy Fire, Bushnell Towing, Dave Larson with Miami County ESC and the Miami County bus drivers who participated in this training yesterday at Troy JH. This exercise was a part of a required, annual in-service for Ohio bus drivers.

A huge thank you to the City of Troy Fire Department and the Ohio State Patrol for giving us some hands on training this morning!

Our May bus driver of the month is Larry Savage! He has been driving for Troy just this school year and is one of our regular subs. He is a Troy native and was selected by his peers for doing a great job this year. We are glad to have you with us, congratulations Larry! 🚍🥳

The Troy City Schools will have a 5.8 mill renewal levy on the May 4 ballot. * This levy is a RENEWAL that WILL NOT INCREASE TAXES. * It was first passed in 1996 and has been renewed 5 times. * It generates approximately $3.7 million annually.
