PhD Student in the Smeeton lab with @ColumbiaGenDev, studying ligament regeneration using zebrafish. Rochester-born and @Cornell grad!
Joined July 2020
Could not possibly be prouder of our very own @EricMaoX as he heads off to an incredible career in medicine. He has been instrumental in the lab we hope that someday we can bring him back to research!.
🎉 Today we said farewell to our lab's first undergraduate researcher, @EricMaoX. Eric has been working closely with @TroyAndFish over the past 3 years and has been an absolutely stellar lab member. He is med school bound next year. Congrats Eric! We will miss you! 🎉 @Columbia

A cross-country move, setting up a new lab during a pandemic, and a couple years later – thrilled to announce our new publication looking into cell fate dynamics and immune regulation in zebrafish ligament regeneration! . Read it here:
📢Tendon/ligament/regeneration enthusiasts! I'm pleased to announce that @TroyAndFish and @mulia_jo's paper on dedifferentiation and ECM remodeling in regeneration is out today in @Nature_NPJ Regenerative Medicine. .@CSCIColumbia @ColumbiaGenDev #zebrafish

Incredibly honored to have been selected for these awards by @ISSCR! Had many wonderful conversations during yesterday’s poster session about our work so far towards scar-free ligament regeneration. #ISSCR2023.
@TroyAndFish shout out on the big screen at #ISSCR2023 for his Travel and Merit Awards. Woot! If you're at the meeting come visit him during the poster session tomorrow. @ISSCR @CSCIColumbia @ColumbiaGenDev #ProudPI

Had a wonderful time getting to introduce our latest research and meeting many peers doing outstanding work in regeneration! Very grateful for the organizers and everyone who fostered such a welcoming (and re-invigorating!) environment.
And that's a wrap for 2023 @GordonConf on tissue regeneration and repair. A great week of stellar science and community building. Julia and Troy repped our fish ligament regeneration stories so well! @mulia_jo @TroyAndFish @CSCIColumbia @ColumbiaGenDev #proudPI #zebrafish
