JAMAICA UPDATE The east end of the island is back to full strength. The west will take years to rebuild π’ My area (north central) is starting to get back power and water. The first cruises have arrived in Ocho Rios. MBJ has limited flights now.

Thanks for the messages. Blue skies & seas are back on Jamaicaβs North Coast. Most roads are cleared, but all utilities are still down in most areas. Sadly, the South and West will be rebuilding for years. Entire towns were flattened. This photo sums up the parish of St.

HURRICANE UPDATE: I was spared the worst on Jamaicaβs north coast. The southwest looks like a war zone. Trees, poles, & small shops were flattened here, but concrete buildings were washed away there. Thanks for the prayers, but others have it WAAAY worse than we do up north.

HURRICANE UPDATE: Landfall moved to 8 AM. CNN said there was panic on the island. Negative! I saw a fisherman on the sea in what looked like plywood with a house fan duct taped to it. Melissa realized Jamaicans were ignoring her, so she leveled up.
