Absolutely! This is the point they fail to recognize over and over. The best stories are being left on the sidelines much too often on the PGA Tour.
Another reason why deep fields are great. Bud Cauley was one of the last guys in the field, which went deeper than it usually does, and he’s going to play in the final group of The Players. I know people want to see the stars, but they also want an underdog to root for sometimes.

"The real reason you're not shooting your practice round scores in tournaments..." If you're one of those players who typically strikes the ball great in practice rounds, makes putts, plays fantastic. If you were adding your score up, it probably would be pretty good in practice

Spot on Jonathon. 100% agree. When you get to see the shots up close it reinforces this analysis even more! High straight shots that can attack difficult hole locations from just about anywhere. This kid will be smiling around trophies for many years to come. Oh btw....he can
Ok, I’m saying it, this is THE best golf swing in the world in my opinion. A technical tour de force. Great geometry, blended with gorgeous rhythm, utilising physics to create huge speed. Total respect to the hours and hours and hours that’s gone into creating it. Helps he moves

"How many are aware of the changes coming to D1 golf next year?..." The competition for division one golf spots is already very high. Well, it's getting ready to get crazy competitive to get a spot on a Power Division I team. Next year, rosters are limited to either 8 or 9

Smart man as always! One thing I would add and @padraig_h may agree. The player portion of the Tour board needs to be made up of former players that no longer compete. Current players have vested interest in protecting themselves. Part of the problem!
This has to be one of the strangest decisions of @pgatour when it comes to being in the entertainment business. If it was up to me I’d be focusing more on Monday qualifiers. There’s a movie script story nearly every week. I’d give the leading qualifier a tv draw and get a tv crew

The best Q outside the state of Texas without a doubt is @CityLimitsQ. Robbie rolled out pork steaks that were out of bounds! @billymackgolf and I had a smorgasbord of BBQ heaven.

Applicable across all sports and spot on. In golf it is even more important because at the highest levels golf demands the most mental tests for performance. How and what you practice is how you perform in competition.
🚨 McAfee on Mental Toughness • Confidence from Preparation ⭐️ The easiest way to combat self-doubt is to practice harder. • Only when you know you’ve prepared more than the guy across from you will you truly be confident in your ability to get the job done.
