The Rams are 8-2, in first place, and currently hold a Top 10 pick. In my wildest dream, the Jets have a miraculous turnaround next season while the Colts and/or Cowboys (or Packers, even!) are very bad the following year and we find our team in a similar situation.

Both teams had their reasons but I will point out that when the Jets moved on from Sam Darnold he was the worst starting QB in the NFL at the time and when the Vikings moved on from him he had just taken them to the playoffs, don't boo me I'm right

My hope is the Titans secure the number one pick and we trade for it because I don't think the Jets, who are indeed a bad team, are bad ENOUGH to secure a Top 3 slot. Of course, the ideal scenario is we can pick our guy without having to trade up.

Whether you draft a QB in 2026 or not, that decision needs to be made based on your evaluation of the 2026 draft class, nothing else. It has been proven time and time again that projecting a draft class for a specific position more than a year out is a fool's errand.
