As a family we've done very few exams, as the whole system exists purely to make money from gullible parents. I'm proud that we've held out but also rather annoyed that we've still managed to subject ourselves to being fleeced, even if comparatively few times

Music exams are such big business in this country. And utterly ruthless. Paid 100 quid for a Grade 8 exam and lo! @TrinityC_L now charge extra to get a paper certificate. And it's not even clear how much extra as their website is absolutely appallingly complicated.

Now lots of youngsters anxiously waiting to know whether their applications to Warwick (and others) have been in vain. @warwickmaths haven't bothered updating their Maths webpage to say where they've moved the goal posts too and what score is deemed acceptable.

So, kids have jumped through the hoops. Parents forked out £75 for University Admissions Test UK for @warwickmaths (and others) with the truly awful and badly-organised, money-spinning @PearsonVUE . Results of #TMUA now out and everyone seems to have scored lower than expected.

Suspicious lack of trains from Lewisham to Bexleyheath this evening. One that was running late has now disappeared and is replaced with another which is late and getting later which would suggest that might not not exist. Can @Se_Railway advise please?

I really object to finding this at my gym this morning. It's offensive. Ok, dress up and have your fancy dress parties, go trick or treating, carve pumpkins. But can we just have our public spaces left alone? And Halloween is a single night, not a season.

Not only is BBC Young Musician now a bit shit, they've carved up the final and half of it is on between 11 pm and 1 am. They really have killed it, haven't they? What a shame..
