Doc’s rule for Texas legislation: Single-subject bills only. Or vetoed. Omnibus bills are legislative sleight-of-hand—sneaking in lobbyist poison while we’re all focused on the one decent thing. Deceptive. Vile. Under Doc, that game ends. Single subject bills, or it gets vetoed.
