Now that preorders are fulfilled I’ve heard things like “you must feel proud” or “It must feel good”… it does not. I’m a ball of stress and feel overwhelming pressure, just as mush as it was at the start. I wonder if this is normal and how others deal with it. Is this “burnout”?

I have done many projects for the community for the last 20 years free of charge because I enjoy making tools for artists to create and communicate. I love to help where I can. If you are upset about something. Let's talk about it and figure out solutions instead of criticizing.

M8 is not prohibitively expensive. It is actually priced well under anything that has this set of features. As such I will not be payed for all the development time up to this point. There is also the headless version that I support for free-Buy a Teensy 4.1 and a SD card.

M8 is not a big commercial product nor will it sell like one. It's relatively small and as such the costs are expensive. I spent the last almost 2 years working on it 7 days a week, because I wanted it as a musician and I thought others would too.

Some thoughts after a long day... M8 is not a chiptune device, but it is a device that can create chiptune just like anything that can beep bloop. It does not replace gameboys nor LSDJ. It can get along nicely with them like a team if one wishes.

Latest version of #m8tracker has 4op FM synthesis - 12 algorithms, all ops have feedback. Think I am done for now... 100% of my time will be spent on making more units which gives me 100% more free time. It maths out trust me.
