We can get our students involved in this! Everyone shares a vested interest in making our schools barrier-free, and including students in an accessibility review will teach them how to examine spaces for potential barriers- which they can apply beyond the school also.
My challenge to educators this #NationalAccessAbilityWeek #NAAW - review accessibility within your building and take at least one action this week to make your board/building/school/program more accessible to and inclusive of people with disabilities. @OPCouncil @OPSBA @OEEO_OCT.

Ableism imposes limits on the potential of our students. Projects like this shatter those perceptions and prove that all students can have a meaningful impact on their school and community. We need much more of this! Way to lead by example @CCSands14 @LC3_TDSB @TDSB_OTPT.
Students from @TheHill_WHCI's DD program and Gr 9 science class have started to build pollinator gardens in our main parking lot. ✅First step done: weeding and laying down fresh mulch!
