When it comes to designing a strategy, the relationship between RRR and Winrate is super important. You don't need a high winrate. And you don't need astronomical winners. It's one of the biggest misconceptions in trading. Understand this and profitability is much easier to reach

Trading stocks, currencies, futures, and other financial contracts is not actually complicated and anybody can learn it in a relatively short time. This has been my daily experience for the past...

In hundreds of journal reviews we have seen that traders generally do better when they trade only one to three strategies. Traders who struggle usually trade many more strategies at the same time. How many do you trade?

Winrate or Reward:Risk ratio? What is it for you?

What is the metric you pay most attention to? Our data clearly shows that the best traders focus on the RRR, trying to increase their winners, optimizing their trade management, and reducing size of losses. Winrate is mostly irrelevant to them.

What is your #1 goal this week? x% profits? Not breaking your rules? Not over-trading? Not risking too much? Whatever it is, be clear and set intentions...

This is what you want to see in your data... Good entry trades make money, meaning your system is actually profitable with an edge. And whenever you deviate from your system (impulsive, early, late, revenge entry), you lose.

This trader is profitable but not by much. We identified 4 things that currently hurt his performance: - Closing winners too early - SL and TP placement that are not optimized - Trading too many hours per day - Trading too many setups https://t.co/Lqu3UEVhTw

Losing traders lose because they spend all their time and energy focusing on the things they cannot control (the price, the outcome of a trade), and neglect all the things that they actually DO control. Shift your focus and success becomes possible.

We all know what we SHOULD be doing in order to get closer to our goals and be more successful. "Doing what you know you should be doing" is among the most important skill/traits you can develop.

Going from losing to profitable doesn’t happen by accident. There is a clear path. Through my work with @edgewonk , I have seen many traders progress through the four stages of profitable trading. The struggles they faced and the way they pushed through them have taught me many

I've seen many traders with profitable systems and a money-making edge. But they still end up losing. Why? Because they break their trading rules frequently, giving back all their profits on trades they shouldn't be in in the first place. THEY are the problem, NOT the system.

A solid month after an OK September. Although Sept was in the green, I wasn't mentally comfortable with my size at 1%/trade and was making silly mistakes: Fearing valid setups, not cutting losers quickly, and just overall trading poorly - resulting in 8R of errors. [OCT Figs]

If you think trading is all about the entry, every loss will make you “fix” your entry. So you keep tweaking what might not even be broken while ignoring what actually matters: exits, risk, and discipline.

Do you have clear rules for every part of your system? Almost every inconsistency in trading disappears once your rules are written down. The more you define your process, the more consistent your results become. A trading strategy is more than just your entry.
