That which is concealed is beyond our capacity of reasoning—yet nothing else interests us. Might it be said that reason and interest are two different things? Though what, then, does our “interest in reason” mean?.

The truth cannot be “recounted”, because the truth is not a narrative structure. Therein lies another difference between truthfulness and truth. And a “truthful account” is then an image of truthfulness where truth is not an image, but a template.

Part of what is ongoing is that which is not. So whatever is is, as a rule, incomplete.

If living means constantly breaking down a whole (or a life that is ongoing) into its individual parts (or the moments that occur in it), a condition of this is knowing how to recognize what the whole is and what its constituent parts.

Awareness is not a way of shaping that which is, but of registering it—its function is to be a reflection of what is. But does that which is need this supplementary duplication?.

Superimposing one’s own life onto other lives is foolish and incomprehensible—be those lives that might (or should) come after death, or the lives of other people.

The possibility of not being is a possibility of something that is. (Because in the event that something is not, how can it, not being, not be?).

Realizing the possible marks the pathway from possibility to reality. But what if there is no path leading to reality? What about when a possibility will never become a reality because reality will be real even without needing to have previously been possible?.

We can scarcely transfer the time in which we have our being to some other time. Although it is an abstraction, it is one that affects us to the core. As is the case with any abstraction.

“Having a concept of truth […] does not mean being able to accumulate empirical facts, as we often take it to mean, since facts, in and of themselves, stand outside of any relationship to how we live and die.”. Ryan Ruby on TRACTATUS (@efluxcriticism) .
