Gangi, Sicily. 4-5 storeys, narrow streets, good paving, integrated street lamps, no setbacks, continuous build line, minimal cars. Limestone rubble masonry, ashlar dressings, louvred shutters, shallow balconets, pantiled roofs. Simplicity and repetition are not the enemy.

Although simplified, games such as Minecraft, ARK: Survival Evolved, Spiritfarer, etc. are teaching a generation of kids what things are made of and where the materials come from. How can we help these kids if they would rather discover this and be more hands-on in real life?
