The Nemesis Reborn station takes guests inside the Nemesis creature herself, and has been totally transformed with thematic enhancements and lighting, even featuring a synchronised dispatch sequence!

has invited local residents to a consultation on proposals for an indoor attraction located on the former site of Alton Mouse in Coaster Corner.
People familiar with the situation have cited this as the next Secret Weapon development area 👀

Nemesis 2.0 is receiving an upgraded braking system! Magnetic brakes have been installed on the brake run, replacing the original friction brakes. Riders will enjoy a smoother and less abrupt deceleration, while the costs to maintain the ride for the resort will decrease.

Wow! Visible from outside the park at vehicle gate 12 is what appears to be the new tail for Nemesis, being staged before installation. Featuring a detailed spikier design that matches the new legs, it is a significant upgrade compared to the previous one!

A noise assessment added to the Project Ocean planning application incorporates measurements from ‘a very similar “Topspin” style attraction’, suggesting that a ride similar to Ripsaw is set to return to Alton Towers.
A construction period of approx 15 weeks is also referenced.

Unfortunately Nemesis Reborn experienced a technical issue at the end of the day, so we were unable to experience a night ride after a two hour wait having been asked to leave the queue.

Documents submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council include a sole reference to the attraction as a “new rollercoaster” within the transport statement.

In Forbidden Valley, The Phalanx have secured the future site of Project Ocean.
It seems construction on the new attraction is due to commence imminently, upon planning approval being issued.
In an Instagram post, Bianca Sammut has confirmed that Wicker Man’s fire effects will be operational once again from the start of the 2024 season!

The latter half of the queue has been rerouted, taking guests past the Phalanx Field Lab and around the top of the pit.
This provides some fantastic new views of Nemesis Reborn, as well as helicopter which has crash landed in the stall turn 😮

The wheel covers for Nemesis' trains have been discarded into a pile behind the maintenance building. The question remains whether the trains will be refurbished or replaced - what do you think?

The Nemesis track running rails are being ground down in places to ensure the transition between sections is completely smooth. Will be touched up again in due course.
Alton Towers have submitted an application to confirm the lawfulness of maintenance works to Nemesis.
Whilst the application awaits validation, supporting documents are not yet available, but this suggests that the Resort are looking to increase the rollercoaster’s lifespan.
The main signage for Nemesis Sub-Terra has now been installed, featuring the black and red colour scheme seen in the visuals released last week.
The original shop that opened with the attraction in 2012 looks like it will be in use once again, now named Squadron Supplies.
Along with the Nemesis Reborn information published on the website today, Alton Towers have included an updated 'Legend of Nemesis', clarifying any speculation that the wider Forbidden Valley area will not be renamed.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council have approved the issue of a certificate of lawfulness for the proposed retrack of Nemesis.
This gives the green-light to proceed with the works, which will see the vast majority of the rollercoaster’s track and supports replaced.

In a recent interview, John Wardley has hinted towards what to expect when Nemesis reopens in 2024 following its track replacement:
“The basic themes of the ride will be the same, but there will be much more storytelling, more special effects & scenery."
A section of track has been placed in the Nemesis Reborn queue line, emerging from the shipping container that has been in location for a while.
The rollercoaster itself continues to test today in preparation for its opening on 16th March.
The first half of the queue line uses a similar area to previously, but now features new theming elements in the form of track emerging from the ground as well as a gun aimed at the Nemesis creature. What’s more, it also provides some great views of the creature & coaster itself!
