Not the best conditions for our Carsington walk - thick mist alternating with steady rain. Lovely! 😂 Still an enjoyable walk with a great group with good views of Willow Tit, Song Thrush, Lapwing & groups of Teal, Wigeon, Gadwall & Pochard close enough to view @Derbyshirebirds

After a few storm related travel disruptions we enjoyed a top day looking for Hawfinch & Crossbill in central Derbyshire - 2 Hawfinch early on with Dipper, Mistle & Song Thrush & 50+ Siskin. Crossbill were heard only but a big skein of PFG (c150) made up for it! @Derbyshirebirds

A V.misty but enjoyable walk with members of NottsDerby Walking Group along White Edge & Curbar Edge - with the poor visibility and the rut ended the Red Deer remained hidden but we enjoyed cracking views of 6 vocal Whooper Swans low overhead! 😍 @DerbysWildlife @Derbyshirebirds
